Hi Annie - What can I use to clean and shine my stainless steel pans. The cleaning products suggested by the manufacturer all have the warning that the product contains chemicals known to cause cancer in the state of California. I'd hate to put these products on the pans that I cook with.Thank you!

Good, please avoid such a product. Why would anybody want to use a product that says it causes cancer?
The best DIY solution for shining stainless steel pans is the same that works so well on stainless steel appliances, and it just happens to also be my favorite soft scrub formula for cleaning the bathtub. Just pour ½ cup or so of baking soda into a bowl and stir in enough liquid soap or green liquid dish detergent to make a texture like frosting. Scoop the mixture onto a sponge and gently rub the metal. Rinse well, and polish dry with a soft, clean cloth. Baking soda is a non-abrasive scrubber that does a great job at removing a lot of stains, and the soap or detergent cuts though grease.
